VIDEO - Andrew Moore's Round 10 preview

Tipping winners has been hard enough for some this year, let alone this weekend with state of origin players unavailable.

So we have 34 elite players not taking the field this weekend, yet there are no byes. Can anyone make sense of all of that?

It’s all a bit of a lottery. So here goes…

Tonight at Parramatta Stadium, it’s Parramatta up against the Sydney Roosters. The Roosters are without the likes of Wllie Mason, Anthony Tupo, Nate Myles and Craig Fitzgibbon. The Eels don’t have Jarryd Hayne.

There are a few whispers around that Anthony Minichello will be returning tonight. That will be a massive boost to the Roosters if he can make it on the field.

I’m tipping an Eels win but this should be a close one.

I really think Gold Coast will tonight miss Anthony Laffranchi big time tonight against the Bulldogs at Skilled Park.

The good news is they have Luke Bailey back from injury.

The Bulldogs will be without injured five eighth Ben Roberts. I’m tipping the Titans. Unbeaten at home, and I expect it to stay that way.

Cronulla and Brisbane clash in what should be a good one at Toyota Stadium. The Broncos are without a number of state of origin players. Cronulla is without its heart and soul, Paul Gallen and Greg Bird.

So I’m tipping a Broncos victory.

At 7.30 Manly should carve up a struggling North Queensland team who are without Jonathon Thurston and Matt Bowen in Gosford. And I fear it will be the last game for Cowboys coach Graeme Murray.

St. George-Illawarra and Melbourne do battle at ANZ Stadium. No Mark Gasnier, Ben Hornby and Matt Cooper for the Dragons. Melbourne is without 9 players but I’m still going to tip the Storm.

Penrith and the Warriors clash on Sunday at CUA Stadium. I’ll tip the Panthers to win at home. The Warriors are completely useless away from Auckland.

The Wests Tigers welcome Robbie Farah and Benji Marshall back on Sunday at Energy Australia Stadium. This should be a very entertaining game.

I’m going to tip the Knights at home, even though they’ll be without Danny Buderus, Kurt Gidley and Ben Cross. Their defence might be too good for the up and down Tigers.

And in Monday night: Canberra at home to South Sydney. The Raiders were absolutely pathetic last Saturday against the Sydney Roosters but they are a completely different team at home, especially under lights. Souths were very good last start but I’ll tip the Raiders at home.

It’s a toss up this weekend. Good luck in your tipping comp, because we’re going to need it!
